KAMPALA– The Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) has set Sept 2nd to 16th 2021 as dates for the people who applied to join the force to check for their names on the list of shortlist.
According to Press Release dated Sept 4th 2021 signed by the UPDF Spokesperson Brig Flavia Byekwaso, the successful shortlisted candidates names have been sent to the designated recruitment centers where they can check their names in person.
Brig Byekwaso also indicated that the the candidates will undergo endurance and fitness test for medical and physical reasons before they are taken for training.
They were also asked to report with original copy of national identity card or NIRA documents and other academic documents.
Brig Byekwaso also said the successful candidates will be required to be ready to travel to reception and training centers where all standard operating procedure put in place by the Ministry of Health will be observed.
The announcement follows the recent request by the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs for people to join the UPDF.
