A CCTV footage captured six-armed criminals terrorising shop owners and customers in Buruburu, Nairobi on Saturday, October 3.The incident which took place at around 8:30 p.m in Outering, Buruburu saw the criminals rob an electronics and clothing store.The footage shows the six gangsters walking into the shops casually posing as regular customers before drawing guns and commencing their loot. A man carrying a gun.File The armed men ordered the customers into a room including a minor who was unfortunate to be caught up in the melee.The six then went on to ransack the store before assembling their loot at the centre of the store as they made several trips in and out of the premises.Seven minutes into the robbery, one of the gangsters noticed the CCTV camera was rolling and dismantled it.According to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, the robbers made away with cash, electronics and clothing worth hundreds of thousands.”The notorious and dangerous armed robbers stole Ksh.20,000, sneakers worth Ksh.20,000, 43’ TV set, a home theatre system worth Ksh.30,000, 6 Phones, t-shirts, Phone and computer accessories Worth Ksh.100,000,” he noted.There have been rising cases of insecurity in Buruburu with this being the fourth incident reported in the estate this year.Two weeks ago, a similar incident was reported in the same area where an Mpesa agent was shot during a robbery.The Saturday incident was reported at the Buruburu Police Station with a man haunt being launch to trace the six gangsters.Sonko appealed to the public to provide details and leads that would assist the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in nabbing the robbers.Watch Video Below:
