Uganda U-17 Girls national football team Captain and center forward Juliet Nalukenge believes that the team is focused and ready enough to face-off with Cameroon on the 31st of October 2020.
The team is currently in preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualification round fixture against Cameroon.
After their day three training session at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday, the Kawempe Muslim Ladies striker signaled readiness for the Cameroon ties banking on the motivation and the trainings conducted by the coaches.
“Our coaches give us the best training and as players we are giving in our best so are motivated and focused on winning Cameroon’s game on 31st October,” Nalukenge told FUFA media.
Uganda will host the first leg game on 31st October while the return leg will come in a fortnight’s time between 19th November -21st November 2020 in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Currently, the 30-man team is under the stewardship of coaches Hadijja Namuyanja, Olive Mbekeka (fitness) and James Magala (goalkeeper) as head coach Ayub Khalifa is still in isolation having tested positive for COVID-19.
The winner on aggregate will together with two other countries represent Africa at the finals to be hosted by India between February and March in 2021.
