You know he is the World University Cross Country Championships Aviero 2022 champion.
At the same time, he is also the recently crowned champion of All Africa University Games which were hosted in the Kenyan capital Nairobi
You also know that he is the national reigning cross country junior winner while running in Jinja city.
But, did you also know that Dismas Yeko,, is among the highly educated athletes in Uganda?

Well, besides other qualifications he has managed to obtain thus far, the UWA athletics Club runner is finishing his Bachelors of Forestry Science and Environmental Management.
The Xurica Sports Agency and Adidas prospect is a student at Ndejje University.
The four-time teenage gold medalist speaks so passionately about conservation which he says is his second passion after professional running.
“There is no athletics or journalism without a properly managed environment and wildlife.
“I believe we can do better in conversation if and when we pay attention to small but costly practices.
“I want to encourage athletes and the entire sports industry to embrace education,” Yeko told Kampala Sun.
The junior superstar from Bukwo is also optimistic of carrying on with his education up to doctorate level.
This leaves his fans wondering what will become Yeko’s mainstay act in the future given his prowess and passion for both.
So far, in 2022 alone, Yeko has clinched three medals in his last three competitive races in Portugal, Nairobi and Tororo.
Probably, once his sprouting sports career withers, Yeko will be able to turn to his Forestry Science and Environmental Management academic credentials to help the country win the fight against current climate change menace.
