Uganda U20 Women’s National Team Head Coach Sheryl Botes Ulanda has revealed the final squad for the Africa Games 2023, due in Accra, Ghana.
The Queen Cranes are poised to make their maiden appearance at the quadrennial tournament, scheduled to take place between 8th -23rd March 2024.
To qualify for the tournament, Uganda finished among the top eight teams in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. The team will travel to Ghana on Wednesday morning at 2:45 am aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
Uganda is placed in Group A alongside hosts Ghana, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Uganda will start the tournament against neighbors Tanzania on 9th March before taking on Ethiopia and hosts Ghana on 12th and 15th March respectively.
