A 26-year-old woman who was chasing a potential job offer is missing and her kin are now looking for her.
Speaking to journalists, the missing woman’s husband narrated how a call under the guise of a job opportunity lured his wife to her abductors who are now demanding ransom.
She reportedly left home on November 4 to meet a potential employer but never returned.
According to the husband, he received a distress call from his wife at around 3 pm on the said day and he knew something was amiss.

“I got a missed call from her, and when I called back she informed me that the people who had called her for a job had lied and that she was in a white Probox, and taken her to Masai Mara,” the husband narrated.
He then received another call from a number that was not in his phonebook and was asked to look for Ksh150,000 to secure the release of his wife.
“The man told me to prepare Ksh150,000 or risk finding my wife dead. He also advised me to watch TV in case of any breaking news,” he narrated.
Worried about his wife’s whereabouts, the man filed a formal report at the Kitisuru Police Station but was directed to the Kabete Police Station.
He told the media that police have frustrated his efforts to find his wife as they have taken him in circles, even asking for ‘small tokens’ for facilitation.
“If I had money, I would have been helped. The police said they would geolocate the number that called me but on condition that I gave them Ksh500. I am frustrated because police are supposed to protect us and enforce the law but some are going contrary to that,” he said.
He appealed to the government to assist him in finding his missing wife before it is too late.
Cases of missing persons and abductions have been on the rise in recent months but authorities have stressed that they are doing their best to cut down on the worrying trend and bring all perpetrators to book.
