Bebe Cool has set a high price for any promoter looking to stage a music battle between him and fellow legend Jose Chameleone.
The singer has made it clear that such a showdown would not be fuelled by rivalry or personal grudges but purely by business and entertainment value.
According to Bebe Cool, the event would be a historic moment for the Ugandan and African music industry, attracting international attention.
He believes the scale of the battle warrants a substantial budget, with global television networks like MTV needing to document the showdown.
“The truth is the battle between me and Jose Chameleone is a money thing, and it can never go below $1 million. My battle with Joseph isn’t just a battle—it’s an African spectacle. Even MTV has to come and film this because you’re talking about two people who have contributed to the industry that millions of young people benefit from today,” Bebe Cool stated while conducting an interview with Galaxy FM’s Evening Rush crew.
He dismissed the idea of settling for lower offers, emphasizing that a battle of this magnitude requires significant investment. “You can’t come to me with UGX 100 million. Are you mad?” he added.
