Uganda Premier League side Express Football Club has reunited with creative midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa.
The 25-year old returns to Express from relegated side Tooro United Football Club on a two-year deal.
Upon completion of the Express U-turn, Kayiwa has expressed his delight on coming back to the Mutesa II memorial stadium, Wankulukuku.
“I am glad to be back at Express FC. For me, this has always been home and just like all my other teammates, the target is to chase silverware and we can only achieve that by working hard,” Kayiwa noted.
He had his first stint at Express FC in 2014 scoring Seven goals and 10 assists in 27 games.
Kayiwa later moved on to Vipers and Kirinya Jinja SS (now Busoga United) before another stint at Wankulukuku where he spent two seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19.
He spent the 2019/2020 season at Tooro United where he managed three assists in Seven appearances.
This will be Kayiwa’s third stint at the club and becomes Wasswa Bbosa’s 13th signing ahead of the upcoming campaign.
He joins Denis Otim, Chrispus Kusiima, Richard Bbosa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Abel Eturude, Isaac Nsengiyunva, Mustafa Kiragga, Charles Musige, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Baker Sakah, John Toki Byamukama and Charles Musige as other players unveiled by the Red Eagles.
