NTUNGAMO – The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has commissioned all development projects of South Ankole Diocese in Ntungamo during his first pastoral visit in the diocese ever since he was enthroned.
Dr Kaziimba who was enthroned as the 8th Archbishop of Uganda succeeding the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali in 2020 was in Ntungamo from February 12th to 14th.
In accompaniment of his wife Mama Margret, His Grace lauded the area Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe for being a very hardworking man of God who managed to develop the South Ankole Diocese in just nine years he has spent at Kyamate hill. He advised other Bishops to emulate Ahimbisibwe.

South Ankole Diocese was born on 8th January 2012 after being curved out of West Ankole and Ankole (greater) dioceses.
The Archbishop also laid a foundation stone on the newly constructed buildings of the diocese including; the four storyed Mother’s Union Complex, S.A. Diocese Health Centre 3, Hatchery project where the BF Chick incubator machine that produces 1,250 chic’s every week, S.A.D. SACCO, the Dean’s Residence and other houses.

Dr. Kaziimba also toured other projects like Coffee seedlings planted on a 250 acres of land, Banana plantation, the Irrigation scheme, the fish pond project, the BIO GAS project, goat rearing, poultry and other income projects that were initiated by Bishop Ahimbisibwe and his Diocesean team that he works with.
Preaching on Sunday, he advised Christians to accept Jesus Christ as be their personal savior and also to cater and feed well their priests so that they can be able to give them blessings!

The visiting Archbishop received different gifts including wows and other prizes from the diocese and friends.
The function was attended by among others Ntungamo municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Gerald K.Karuhanga, RDC Bakunda George, Former Kajara County Member of Parliament and Diocese Chancellor (Currently Working with E.C) Hon. Stephen Tashobya, Church dev’t Pilars, Elders, and other leaders.
