Creative midfielder Henry Kiwanuka has signed a contract extension with 2018/2019 Stanbic Uganda Cup finalists Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club.
Kiwanuka has signed a new two-year contract deal with the Stars that will keep him at the club until the end of 2021/2022 season.
The former Kasawo Senior Secondary School student started his career at Kampala Junior Team (KJT) under coach Mansur Kabugo and later joined Luzira Soccer Accident.
Kiwanuka joined Bright Stars in 2018/2019 season after captaining Entebbe based side Masavu FC, where he won the FUFA Big League under the guidance of coach Allan Kabonge.
He becomes the third player to have renewed marriage with Bright Stars after defender Derrick Ngobi (one year) and right back Andrew Kaggwa (two years).
The club has also made new signings in goalkeeper Benson Wagon, midfielder Jamil Kisitu, forward Samuel Ssekamatte, Sadam Masseruka and former Bulemeezi Ssaza forward Emmanuel Loki.
Last season, Soltilo Bright Stars finished 12th with 29 points from 25 matches as the Uganda Premier League was prematurely ended due to the global outbreak of the coronavirius pandemic.
