Police in Nansana, Wakiso district have today, Wednesday September 23, 2020, arrested a man for strangling his wife to death.
Reports from police indicate that the murder that took place today morning at around 8:30 am and the incident was reported by the defence secretary, a one Kamya Masudi, 52, of Nabweru South Cell 2, Nansana division.
According to the defense secretary, Bonabana Jane, 45, now deceased, was strangled to death by her husband Asaba Andrew, 59, a casual labourer in the area.
Police rushed to the scene and the body of the deceased person was conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem.
The suspect, Asaba Andrew, is currently detained at Nabweru police station on charges of Murder but in the meantime, police states that the reason for the murder has not yet been established.
