On Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at 0016hrs at Palabel along Gulu-Nimule high way patrollers intercepted Motor vehicle Reg No UBG 877S Toyota wish white in colour with four occupants moving towards Gulu.
On searching the vehicle, they discovered pistol with 15* rounds of live ammunitions.
Upon interrogation the occupants couldn’t give proper account of themselves and the pistol, they were arrested and detained at Atiak police station.
ASP PJ Okema, PRO-ASWA identified the suspects as:
1- Lemi Chris aged 36 years a resident of Ndejje Kanyanya, wakiso District, a driver.
2- Kiir Angello 34 years, a South Sudanese from Juba, an artist (musician).
3- Bol Ngor 29 years, a South Sudanese businessman from Juba.
4- Safi Adam 33 years, a driver, a resident of Bweyale, Kiryandongo District.
Suspects are in police custody on charges of being in possession of illegal firearm.
The motor vehicle and pistol exhibited as inquiries continue.
