Contests the committal
Ssenyonga Wilson the alleged killer was arrested way back last year and deliberately delayed in police custody.
Today’s committal comes on the very last day of the constitutional 180 days.
The conduct of the state should be condemned. The right to fair hearing is well entrenched within the bill of rights.
With all this period they’ve had last year, state finds it fitting to arraign Wilson Ssenyonga now?
With dismay and consternation that to-date medication has been denied despite a court directive to have our clients treated.
Kigo can’t handle liver case affecting Ssegirinya’s health.
Asks for material content contained in the ‘extra judicial’ statement. In specific, a copy of A3’s (Ssenyonga’s) confession regarding the location of the area where plans were hatched, how much was spent to hire him, et al..
Asks for actual date when A3 was subjected to a mental examination…
State Prosecutor Birivumbuka
A3 is mentally fine. He’s humble, listening, focused…
A3 is not represented by any of the counsels therefore none is supposed to know the mental capability of him.
The Indictment and trial has been done at magistrate court level
We’re elected MPs who cannot abscond the law. For the record we brought ourselves to court. Nobody dragged us!
We thought court by now has the jurisdiction to release us on bail…
Ssegirinya says Nyonga is just a stooge who does not even know them and seems confused…
State informed Court that the accused is in Kitalya and now he says he has been in police custody…
May God grant Court an eternal rest!
