The spokesperson for the army in the far north, Lieutenant Antony Mwalushayi, asks the population not to be discouraged, nor to play the game of ADF criminals.
He was reacting after the murder of eleven civilians on Sunday, September 20 in Mbau (North Kivu).
While sympathizing with the population victims of the barbarity of the Ugandan rebels, Lieutenant Antony Mwalushayi indicates that the time is no longer for the accusation.
“For the people of Mbau, I ask them not to be discouraged. To become discouraged is to give the enemy the opportunity to continue his actions. So, for the population of Beni in general, it is necessary to put in the head that, peace will not come automatically like a magic stick. We are working and the enemy is also trying to question our efforts. This is the moment when we have to understand each other, this is the moment when we have to speak the same language, this is the moment when we have to talk to each other and exchange information, ” says Lieutenant Antony Mwalushayi.
For him, it is necessary to bring together efforts and ideas so that in unity, the enemy is definitively defeated:
“It will be a serious fault if we start to accuse each other, if we start bickering with each other because it will play into the enemy’s hands now and that’s what the enemy wants.”
“But, we have to stay together, talk to each other, correct each other and then face the enemy in front of us instead of each day accusing each other. “
