Uganda Cranes head coach Jonathan McKinstry has named a squad of 13 locally based players that entered a mini-camp at Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi ahead of a training camp in Dubai.
Upon entering the camp on Thursday, all the 13 players and officials underwent mandatory COVID-19 testing at the team Hotel and were asked to self isolate for 48 hours before they fly out over the weekend.
The squad is dominated by Vipers Sports Club and Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club with four players each while KCCA FC has three.
The team will fly out this Sunday at 5pm aboard Emirates Airlines for the Dubai training camp where they will be joined by the foreign based players.
Uganda is in preparations for the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers double header against South Sudan and the 2020 CHAN Finals to be held in Cameroon next year.
