Following a dream start against Mozambique on Monday, Uganda Hippos will be back in action this time facing a hard-hitting opponent Cameroon at the Stade Olympique, Nouakchott City, Mauritania. The game will be played at 19:00 pm (EAT).
Uganda is the early leader in Group A after beating Mozambique in their first ever appearance at the AFCON U20 Championship thanks to the two second half goals from Derrick Kakooza and Steven Sserwadda.
Uganda leads the group with three points ahead of Cameroon on goal difference while Mauritania and Mozambique are third and fourth, respectively.
Cameroon defeated hosts Mauritania 1-0 in the tournament’s opening match. Uganda’s win against group giants Cameroon will gallant them a slot in the next knockout round.
For Mauritania and Mozambique will be playing to recover from the slow start in this year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
