There is drama and panic at Entebbe Airport as Health workers who do covid Screening at the facility have today laid down their tools due to delayed payments.

The Ministry of Health- Uganda is under stress as health workers who do mandatory covid-19 screening at Entebbe International Airport have decided to put down their tools following a 3 month period without recieving their salaries.
The health workers say they haven’t been paid since October yet they have families to feed and other bills to clear just like any other human being.
“I have a family. It is now 3 months without getting my salary. What am I going to feed my children during this festive season?,” One of the health workers said.
The Minisry of health Spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyona has said the Ministry is working around the clock to resolve the issue but has asked the disgruntled health workers to continue working as the issue is being worked on.
