Alien Skin has shared his thoughts on politics, particularly his original intention to run for the country’s highest office. While his popularity and influence have grown in a short period, he now feels that the political landscape in Uganda doesn’t offer realistic avenues for meaningful change through elections. The musician initially had dreams of joining the political arena, hoping to bring transformation to Uganda. However, as he observed the challenges surrounding the country’s political framework, his aspirations were met with skepticism. I wanted to run for president, but I’m concerned because elections don’t lead to real change. I’ve never seen anyone take power in Uganda through elections. Alien Skin pointed out that he does not expect miracles to happen during his generation. To him, it seems unrealistic to rely on elections to achieve a shift in leadership.
