President Salva Kiir Mayardit inspected the venues for the signing ceremony of the Sudan Peace Agreement, to crosscheck the ongoing preparations for the occasion on Saturday October 3, 2020 in Juba.The sites President Salva Kiir inspected are, John Garang Mausoleum, Freedom Hall and Juba International Airport. Speaking to the media after the inspection, the Press Secretary in the Office of the President, Mr Ateny Wek Ateny, said Mr Kiir is satisfied with the work done at the sites for the occasion of the final signing of the Sudan Peace Agreement.Mr Ateny Wek Ateny added that President Kiir is ready to initiate the final signing of the Sudan Peace Agreement this Saturday. Ateny Wek said it is worth mentioning that the peace in Sudan means peace in South Sudan.The head of the Mediation Committee for Sudan Peace Talks Mr Tut Gatluak briefed President Kiir on the arrangements for the final signing of the agreement between the Sudanese Transitional Government and revolutionary movements in Juba, a process that will be mediated by President Kiir. Mr Tut Gatluak told journalists after the meeting that he briefed President Kiir on his recent official visits to Sudan, Arab Republic of Egypt and Chad, where he presented his (President Kiir) official invitation to his counterparts to come to Juba for the final signing of the agreement.In addition, Tut Gatluak said the President directed the organizing committees to exert more efforts to ensure that all the arrangements are in place on time for the final signing and celebration of the Sudanese Peace Agreement.
