A woman whose identity has been disclosed to be ‘Joan’ has died at Mulago hospital where she was admitted yesterday after being one of the victims of the accident involving the presidential motorcade and a motorcycle locally known as a Boda Boda, has died.
The accident which occured at Northern bypass along Sentema road in Rubaga division, Kampala is reported to have involved the mobile toilet vehicle of the president. The president H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa was headed to the British high commission in Kampala to pay tribute to the fallen Queen of England, Elizabeth II who died on September 8th aged 96.
The SFC publicist attributes the cause of the accident to the victims for allegedly failing to give the president his right to way. His account has however been disputed by eye witnesses who say the victims were overrun just at the fly over, contrary to what has been said in the media, that they crossed the security line.
SFC in their statement say the victims are being managed in Mengo and Mulago hospitals on bills covered by state house. ugnews24 could not independently ascertain the assertion.
