KFM presenter Faiza Salima, photojournalist Baron Edgar Hamala, blogger and influencer Bernard Olupot Ewalu, and doctor Thomas Kanzira have been granted bail.
On 23rd July 2024, Faiza Fabz, photojournalist Baron Edgar Hamala, blogger and influencer Bernard Olupot Ewalu, doctor Thomas Kanzira, and Aljab Musinguzi were sent to Luzira until 30th July 2024.
The five were arrested, detained, and charged with being a “common nuisance” and “idle and disorderly” at the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court.

On Tuesday morning, the accused arrived at the Nakawa Court in a hopeful spirit for their bail application.
During the court session, the prosecution amended the charge sheet, removing the charge of idle and disorderly and maintaining the charge of common nuisance.
After a long session, Faiza Salima, Baron Edgar, Beewol, and Thomas Kanzira were granted bail of Shs200k each after producing the necessary sureties.
Each of the sureties was bonded a non-cash bond of Shs500,000.
