It is only hours away from singers-cum rivals Alien Skin and Pallaso’s concerts scheduled for 9th June at Freedom City and Lugogo Cricket Oval respectively.
The much-anticipated concerts have several musicians endorse their favourite musician among the pair. However, it has turned out that the oppressed ghetto youths have graced Alien Skin who they see as their messiah. On the other hand, the Eddy Kenzo led faction is in grave support for the Pallaso love fest concert.
The rivalry all stems from a recent brawl between Pallaso and Alien Skin where the former thumped the latter. Alien who didn’t fight back on that ill fated day has since pulled public traction and sympathy. The clobbering he suffered turned out a blessing in disguise especially when he chose to avenge with music by staging a concert on the very day his tormentor, Pallaso had arranged his.
The day has finally elapsed and Bobi Wine is one of the several Ugandans who are caged between the lines and are short of taking a firm stand on either sides.
Bobi Wine based his decision of supporting Alien Skin on the fact that is a true representation of the Ghetto and that is his background.
The NUP party leader, on the other hand, disclosed that he is backing Pallaso because he was one of the few musicians that used their music to appeal for his freedom while he was kidnapped, tortured, and held by the military in 2018.
