A team of youth from Bugisu subregion have threatened to throw down the towel and switch allegiance to the opposition National Unity Platform party if their grievances are not handled by the top Team MK administrators.

The group which recently mobilized for the event in which Team Chairman Toyota Nuwagira and his group received Dem Gaster Opondo who they allege was switching from NUP, have decried the debts they incurred while staging the entire event.
Speaking on condition of anonymity in fear of being witch hunted by drones and security detail attached to Muhoozi, the youth say they incurred close to UGX 48m to arrange the venue and event, but were only able to secure UGX 13m from Team Chairman members headed by Balaam Barugahare and Frank Gashumba.
“Those people fooled us and gave us peanuts. We put in a lot of money to hire tents, seats, public address systems and catering service providers,” said one aggrieved member. “You cannot give us such small money yet you can afford to bribe Opondo to switch allegiance,” added another member.
The group furthermore says they have not yet received their UGX 20,000 transport refund and UGX 50,000 that was supposed to be for fuel of each Boda rider who wore the Muhoozi shirts that day.
One other youth who confided in this reporter says Opondo was paid to print high copies of NUP party paraphernalia and symbols to stage what appeared to be a defection.

“He left NUP more than 2 years ago so he had lost all his party items. Balaam advises him to go to Nasser Road in Kampala and print new NUP party materials to be used in the defection,” the aggrieved member says. “I strongly warn Balaam and Gashumba that should they fail to reimburse our balance by end of November, we shall quit and defect to NUP. I will rather support Bobi Wine for free than stay in Muhoozi project with fools like Gashumba,” he adds.
