The Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo has this morning visited the Buganda Kingdom officials at Bulange, Mengo, Kampala, to make amends with His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II who is out of the country on official duties.

Dollo’s apology comes days after he made a written statement with one of the newspapers dubbed Daily Monitor in which he expressee remorse for his bitter remarks lashed out at the person of the Kabaka whom he referred to as an ‘ethnic leader’ that was flown out of the country in a presidential jet to Germany for medication on taxpayers’ money.
The Katikkiro Mayiga received Dollo and his entourage this morning. Dollo wa accompanied by former UPC president Olara Otunnu. Senior religious leaders from different denominations were party to the meeting.
Dollo has expressed his regret to the Kingdom officials and urged them to wholeheartedly accept his apology on behalf of the Kabaka. He has however tasked Buganda elders to similarly put to order some of their subjects whom he says are ‘tarnishing’ the image of the kingdom by indulging in things that put it into total disrepute.
