Dance Mamweta, a renowned Ugandan solo dance artist, believes she has what it takes to win the grand cash prize of up to USD20,000 in the forthcoming Ciara-owned Dance Icon competition.The dancer and influencer, who has worked with lots of local and international stars and featured in countless music videos, couldn’t hide her excitement after being nominated for the competition.The competition looks to secure eight top dancers who will be flown to Phoenix, USA for the grande talent show at which Ciara and her choreographer Jamaican Craft will be the judges.Speaking to Mbu, Dance Mamweta whose real name is Careen Mamweta, noted that it is a big stage in her career to challenge for a spot among the 8 to take part in the American dance competition.She needs the votes to push her into the next round and has asked her fans and local music enthusiasts to support her and push her toward her dream.The winner also stands a chance to feature in Ciara’s upcoming music video, something which will definitely propel Dance Mamweta’s career upwards.
