Despite losing his mother a day before his show, renowned media personality Suuna Ben explained why he decided not to cancel his show over the weekend.While addressing the media, the Bukedde FM presenter stressed that he sought advice from different industry stakeholders, who encouraged him to continue with his show so as not to incur double losses. He was given examples of how Mathias Walukaga lost his mother a few days before his concert at Freedom City a year ago and Andrew Benon Kibuuka who left his parent’s corpse in the living room and had to perform at an event.Sam Bagenda a.k.a Dr. Bossa and Hon. Geoffrey Lutaaya are some of the other creatives who have gone through a similar trying situations.Suuna Ben then decided to regroup and go ahead with the show despite having had plans to cancel it.He also hinted that it was a way of showing respect and not taking his fans and customers for granted and he used the opportunity to celebrate his late mom’s 70th birthday in style.The show was a success since several revelers turned up to show him support and love as usual.
