Prior to their FUFA Big League promotional playoff with Admin FC, Eastern regional league side Gadaffi Football Club has strengthened it’s squad ahead of the much anticipated encounter.
Former Maroons Football Club forward Patrick Gonahasa is the club’s latest acquisition, joining a long list of already signed players.
Gonahasa alongside former Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF FC) player Godwin Kawagga join Gadaffi on two-year contract deals each.
Kawagga was instrumental as UPDF FC gained direct promotion to the Uganda Premier League despite being deemed surplus to requirement at the Army-side later on.
Other players that have reportedly agreed deals with the Eastern regional league big spenders are striker Steven Munguchi and defending kingpin Najib Fesali who signed loan spells from URA FC.
Gaddafi will take on Admin and the winner will face the champion from the North East region for a slot in next season’s FUFA Big League.
