Frank Gashumba has spoken out against the disorderly events that marred the burial of the late Kawempe North MP, Muhammad Ssegirinya, in Masaka and calls Bobi Wine a “comedian.”The political commentator called out National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine, describing him as “the greatest comedian in Uganda’s history.” He accused the opposition leader of focusing more on theatrics than on providing meaningful leadership.The send-off ceremony was supposed to be managed by the family. Locking out his own mother and brother was disrespectful and against our cultural values. Ssegirinya, who was a staunch supporter of Bobi Wine during his campaign for Parliament and Presidency in 2021, was buried amidst allegations of mismanagement and chaos. Gashumba criticized the incident as a violation of both cultural and religious traditions, particularly given Ssegirinya’s Muslim faith.What happened at his burial went against both culture and tradition.
