Renowned musician Cindy Sanyu bounced a P.3 child off stage during her performances at Eco Fusion Munyonyo after she danced dirty before a crowd of old people.
Cindy organised performances at Eco Fusion Munyonyo on Friday, 30th June, 2022 where she excited revelers.
Among the people who performed was a P.3 juvenile by names of Rema. K who had not sought permission from Cindy before entertaining revelers.
The ‘Ndi Mukodo’ hitmaker was however shocked to see the little girl on stage and was not pleased with how she danced as she exposed her naughtiness on stage at a tender age hence chasing her off stage.
When she was bouncing her, Cindy explained to revelers that she would love so much to support the girl but can’t tolerate seeing her on stage at midnight.
“I’m sorry that I had to chase her off stage. But as a mother, I can’t tolerate seeing a young girl in the wee hours of the night performing for mature audience while sexualizing her performance. That is robbing her of her childhood, it’s taking away her innocence,” she said.
She added, “I hope she is left to live as a kid. And I wouldn’t want to be the one stopping young talent from getting a platform but as a mother, I just couldn’t. I know she will thank me later in future.”
Speaking to theGrapevine, Cindy said that it is not right for the little girl to be on stage and that she is too young and doesn’t understand the implications of what she does on stage.
“Whatever we do on stage, when we act sexy, we know the implications because we are grown but at her age, she doesn’t know the implications and we are exposing her to people who are drunk, grown men and women and yet that environment is not for a child,” she told theGrapevine.
Cindy further added that she doesn’t have to explain what goes on in bars beyond 10:00 PM but what is very clear is that it is not an environment for a child.
