Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Uganda – H.E. Jong Tong; has said she will form a team of 12 Members of Parliament, to establish the Uganda-Korea Friendship Group, along with MPs from Korea.
The Speaker made the commitment following a call by Ambassador Jong Tong, to share and strengthen legislative agendas.
She commended the Government of Korea for its continued support to the Government of Uganda, especially in areas of security.
The Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Uganda – H.E. Jong Tong, congratulated the Speaker on her election to NRM CEC.
He also commended Government of Uganda on gains in peace, stability, socio-economic transformation and promoting East African integration.
