Author Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has finally been granted police bond.
He left Kampala Monday evening on his way back to Iganga district.
Nakawa Division MP Michael Kabaziguruka stood surety for him.
His release followed a court petition filed by his lawyers who demanded his freedom.
They told court Kakwenza was still illegally detained since Friday morning 18.09.2020 which violates his rights.
He was arrested by Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) for allegedly inciting violence and spreading sectarianism.
He was detained at Special Investigations Unit (SID) in Kireka.
