Kalifah AgaNaga has reassured his commitment to his music career, stating that he will not abandon it despite his growing involvement in politics. Kalifah, who has been entertainment industry for almost a decade, believes that music has played a big role in shaping his life and identity.Kalifah, who is currently contesting for the Kawempe North MP seat in the upcoming by-election, emphasized that his passion for music remains unchanged. The by-election, scheduled for March 13, 2025, aims to fill the vacant seat following the passing of the late Muhammad Ssegirinya.I’ll keep doing music despite joining politics. Music made me, and I cannot abandon it just because of politics.
I am known everywhere because of music and have traveled the country and the world. On February 26, the Electoral Commission officially nominated Kalifah as the flag bearer for the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party. Kalifah AgaNaga is not the first Ugandan artist to venture into politics, following in the footsteps of figures like Bobi Wine among others.
