King Saha has criticized National Unity Platform (NUP) politicians, particularly Members of Parliament and councilors, accusing them of abandoning the party’s mission and neglecting their duty to stand by their leader, Bobi Wine.Speaking at the NUP headquarters during prayers held in memory of comrades lost in the 2020 Kampala riots, King Saha expressed disappointment in the silence of these politicians on pressing issues. He emphasized that the party’s supporters are closely monitoring their actions, especially their failure to address government injustices.“You MPs and councilors, we as the voters have our eyes really wide open and watching you. Come the next general elections, we shall prove to you how much hatred and disappointment we have in you. You have totally been silent and helped the enemy to come closer to us,” King Saha said. Also Read: King Saha Names Bobi Wine and Chameleone as Uganda’s Only Music GiantsHe further warned that NUP supporters would field young and ambitious candidates to challenge the current politicians in the 2026 elections.Saha believes these new candidates will better represent the party’s ideals and the desires of its grassroots supporters.“You have failed to speak up for the people and have only focused on yourselves. For that matter, we are going to let the youths who are hungry for change run against you. This is so that they can throw you out of those positions and help us further our agenda,” Saha added. The singer also referenced an incident involving Bobi Wine being hit by a tear gas canister, noting that MPs should have stood in solidarity with their leader during such critical moments.Related
