Dancehall singer Latinum, real name Tonny Mbangira, claims Douglas Lwanga made him perform at various venues across the country without payment during the Purple Party tours. In an interview with Shalom, Latinum revealed that he is not doing well financially at the moment and is quite sad that the people he always helped when he was at his peak have forsaken him.He mentioned how he performed in different regions free of charge during the Purple Party tours and all Douglas Lwanga promised to give back was airplay for his music and exposure. However, now that he needs the airplay the most, Latinum claims that he has been shunned by the Purple Party CEO alongside other media personalities who made promises to him.I performed in Entebbe, Jinja, and Fort Portal for free. Even when I come to your stations, you act weird. But people need to learn how to be appreciative and to help when the people that have been there for them ask for help. They keep promising that they will play my songs but when I leave, they put my songs in the trash.
