The Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has spoken about the mysterious circumstances under which a Subaru driver rammed into his Wakaliga based residence in Rubaga division. Last night, hell turned loose when Mr. Kiweewa Fred, a Subaru driver of reg no. UAJ 704K plunged into the house of the Lord Mayor, leaving his whole family members under fear.

The Lord Mayor however raises concerns with how police hurriedly wanted to tow away the vehicle from the scene without taking pictorial evidence at the scene. Lukwago says he was forced to block the first police officers to visit the scene, after they attempted to impound the vehicle without retrieving evidence at the scene.
“I was concerned and puzzled. Why was the police so interested in taking away the vehicle without studying the scene?,” Lukwago says. “My home is a distance away from the main road. I’m still in fear and grave shock with how this accident happened,” he added.
The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire however says the vehicle will today be towed away as investigations are expedited.
“We already have one suspect in custody at Old Kampala police station. It’s the Subaru driver. We want him to explain what went wrong,” Owoyesigyire said. “The other passenger, a female adult is at Mulago hospital for treatment. She suffered severe injuries,” he added.
