Midfielder Gadaffi Gadinho has mutually parted ways with Uganda Premier League outfit Mbarara City Football Club.
The development has been confirmed in a club statement released on Monday morning.
“We have mutually agreed to terminate the contract GADAFI GADINHO MUHAMAD had with us. We thank him for the time he has been a LION. We wish him the very best in future,” read the statement signed by Mbarara City FC CEO Nobert Semusu.
Gadinho had joined the Ankole Lions last year in May on a two-year deal from Arua based Onduparaka Football Club.
He is the Fifth player to depart the Kakyeka based club after Ibrahim Orit and Brian Aheebwa who joined Vipers Sports Club and KCCA FC respectively.
The Ankole Lions also released the duo of Kabuye Stephen and Bashir Muweesi who were deemed surplus to the requirement.
Ahead of 2020/2021 season, Mbarara City has signed Ronald Edwok, Godfrey Kalungi and Bashir Mutanda while Swalik Bebe, Souleymane Bamba, Jude Ssemugabi and Pistis Barenge have all had their contracts renewed.
