Melissa Mulungi has made it clear, she has never boarded a boda boda and never will. The Ugandan-German personality shares her firm stance on the popular boda bodas, saying that it is a decision she has stuck to regardless of the circumstances.Mulungi recounted instances where people around her have relied on boda bodas to navigate heavy traffic, but she has always chosen to stay behind. One such moment, she said, was during her time working closely with musician Eddy Kenzo. It is so funny because there have been times especially back in the day when I was working closely with my big brother Eddy (Kenzo) when he would have shows, interviews, and stuff like that.
There were times we would be stuck in traffic, and they would say, ‘Eddy has to be on set in the next 10 to 15 minutes.’ I’d be like, ‘Guys, God bless you, you can go on the boda, and I’ll stay in this traffic.’Instead of opting for the swift boda boda alternative, Mulungi said she would rather jump into the driver’s seat and navigate the traffic herself, ensuring she arrived at the venue in her own time.
