Midfielder Amir Kakomo has signed a new contract with Uganda Premier League record Champions, Sports Club Villa.
ChimpReports understands that Kakomo has signed a one-year contract extension with the Jogoos committing his Future at the club for another season.
He joined SC Villa in 2018 from Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), having come through the ranks at FUFA Big League outfit Kiboga Young FC.
He had also played for Namasuba Juventus, and Masaza Cup entities Ssingo, Buwekula and Gomba alongside Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi in the University Football League.
Last season, he played in 21 league matches and scored two goals against Wakiso Giants and KCCA FC, adding to his two man of the match performances.
Kakomo is expected to fill the void left by Ambrose Kirya (BUL FC), Bashir Mutanda (SC Villa) and David Owori (URA FC).
He joins goalkeeper Said Keni, right back Joseph Nsubuga and defender Moses Kiggundu as other players who have signed contract extensions at the club.
SC Villa has also landed fresh legs in Martin Ssenkooto, Meddie Kibirige, Nasser Lukwago, Geoffrey Goffin Oyirwoth, Muhammed Ssenoga, Isaac Ogwang, Andrew Kiwanuka and Mike Sekiganda ahead of the 2020/21 season.
