We have breaking news this morning in which one of the proprietors of Hickory Bar and Restaurant in Kololo, Aine Arnold Mugisha has been shot dead by a security guard this morning at Quality Supermarket Naalya.
We now have an eye-witness account that states that Mugisha and colleagues moved out of the supermarket with a trolley bearing their goods, took them off and loaded them into their car. After emptying the trolley, Mugisha pushed it and it rolled down till in rammed into another parked car causing damage.
It was at this moment that one of the nearby askaris approached Mugisha and asked him to patiently wait until the owner of the damaged car came so that they would discuss the damage. However, according to theeye witness, Mugisha did not oblige and instead reacted arrogantly to the security guard.
The eye witness says that Mugisha then proceeded to start his car and knocked the protesting security guard, injuring his leg. It was then that another security guard opened fire, unfortunately shooting at the speeding car. Mugisha was injured in the process and lost his life.
A mob later gathered and started beating up the security guard before Police arrived to free him.
They are currently being held at Kira Road Police.
Aine Arnold Mugisha is an old boy of Kings College Budo and his Old Boys and Girls continue to mourn his passing.
