Our attention has been drawn to the falsehoods about alleged human body parts found in a sack at Mizigo B in Mityana district.
Acting on a tip off by one of the residents, our detectives led by the Deputy R/CID visited the scene and readily established that thieves had stolen and slaughtered two pigs from yet to be identified residents, but failed to transport them.
Exhibit has been taken to Mityana CPS as investigations continue.
We wish to clarify that the sack did not contain a human body, as it’s being circulated on various social media platforms.
We thank members of the public for the vigilance exhibited and encourage them to always inform police on any suspicious incidents.
