Kitgum District woman MP Hon Dr. Lilian Aber has come out to say that before the NUP leader Bobi Wine thinks of stepping his feet on Acholi land to attend Hon Jacob Oulanyah’sburial, he should, first of all, apologize on behalf of the NUP leadership for the unethical behavior by his members who demonstrated outside the hospital in Seattle US where the fallen speaker had gone to receive treatment.
According to the Acholi parliamentary caucus, those who demonstrated were National Unity Platform supporters of the Baganda tribe.
“Everyone is welcome for the burial of our brother. However, it would be good if NUP leadership first apologized for tormenting him at his hospital bed and hour of need before crossing Karuma for Omoro, where burial will take place. ” Aber said
Dr. Aber has since the death of Jacob Oulanyah said that NUP supporters demonstrated simply because Oulanyah is an Acholi but they have for long failed to do the same when a muganda of the NRM party goes to receive specialized treatment out of the country.
Dr. Aber joins the list of the many top politicians from the North who have expressed dissatisfaction concerning the demonstration outside the hospital in Seattle where Jacob had gone to receive treatment.
Recently Chief Justice Owinyi Dollo lost his cool going further to blackmail the Kabaka of Buganda for using the President’s jet and government money to go out to Germany for treatment.
Media reports indicate he has so far apologized.
