The SMACK League, renowned as one of Uganda’s best-organised school alumni sports leagues is thrilled to announce the grand finale of its seventh season.
As the Guinness sponsored league draws to a close this Sunday, Legends Rugby Grounds will be the ultimate destination for football lovers and fun-seekers. The final matchday promises an exciting display of talent and sportsmanship as teams vie for the coveted titles.
Throughout the season, the SMACK League has grown significantly, with 22 teams battling it out in a restructured format that added more excitement and competition to the league. The introduction of new teams, Pool A and Pool B splits, and a tiered knockout system has provided thrilling matchups leading to this momentous finale.
All finalists for both TSL7CUP and TSL7FOUNDERS CUP are from POOL B.
The Champion’s Shield final will see the Knights take on the Alks, while the Founder’s Cup final will pit the Kiama Warriors against the Cyclones. Meanwhile, the interhouse competition will feature Lourdel against Mugwanya in what promises to be a high-energy showdown.
Speaking at the official press conference ahead of the finale, representatives from both the SMACK League and Guinness expressed their enthusiasm for the culmination of another successful season. The beer brand continues to affirm its longstanding partnership as the lead sponsor, ensuring a premium experience for all attendees.

“Having played a couple of years honing his skills in the league, Romeo’s journey stands as a testament to the opportunities the SMACK League provides for passionate players. We are hopeful that Romeo’s efforts will encourage others to continue pursuing their passion for football through the league,” said Bernad Mukasa, CEO SMACK League Organising Committee.
