The speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among has reportedly hired a crowd of idlers to take to the streets of her home area to demonstrate over assassination attempts on her life.

During Thursday plenary, the speaker raised concerns that her life was in grave danger after unknown persons kept on trailing her motorcade for some time. She says she brought the matter to the attention of the leader of opposition Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba.
Today, crowds of people who were reportedly paid in cash UGX 5,000 given out by the area RDC have matched from Bukedea Town Council and stormed Kolir sub-county Headquarters in protest of the assassination claims on their district Woman MP and Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Among.
Anita Among became speaker of Parliament in March this year following the eventual death of her then senior, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.
