According to trusted sources, the decision to purchase the tickets was inspired by the alleged boycott threats issued by opposition loyalists, who accuse the BET Award winning superstar with choosing neutrality in the prevailing politics of the country.
Team MK mobilizer and events organizer Balaam Barugahare advised MK chairman Toyota to purchase at least 10,000 tickets to boost crowds and give an impression that the Muhoozi supporters are many enough to fill Kololo stadium.
Balaam says NUP supporters have for long dominated the urban politics, by mobilizing youths across Kampala, Wakiso and other urban towns in Uganda.
“This is our only chance to show Bobi Wine that we are in control. If we don’t fill this stadium, NUP supporters will think we are weak,” Balaam said. “Even if it means ferrying buses of people from different parts of the country, we must do it. Eddy Kenzo is a talented artiste who has been our great mobilizer as Team MK. We should return the favour and prove a point to NUP,” added Balaam.
Pr. Aloysius Bujingo’s House of Prayer Ministries pledged to deploy some of its flock to fill Kenzo’s festival.
On the same event in Mbale, Balaam Barugahare unveiled Dem Gaster Opondo, a former People Power mobilizer and relative to government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo. Barugahare while unveiling Dem Gaster as a member of Team MK urged other NUP supporters to join Muhoozi if they don’t want to risk their lives with the wave abductions targeting NUP activists.
