At least two guns of AK 47 model and a radio call were reported missing at Bungokho Police Station in Mbale district last night. This comes a day after a police watch guard foiled an attempted attack on Nakulabye police station in the wee morning hours of Wednesday.

No fatalities were registered at Nakulabye according to a statement from the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire.
Police is still investigating the circumstances under which this mysterious gun theft on Mbale happened.
Meanwhile parliament has tasked government to explain the unknown secrets behind the apparent raids on police stations across the country. The first time this occured was in December 18th, 2021 at Sekanyonyi police in Mityana district and now the vice has spread to the capital, Kampala. Police have embarked on retreating as opposed to reinforcement. The Force mouthpiece Fred Enanga says the retreat is in line with a 2019 presidential directive that urged them to close the substandard police posts.
