UBSA Executive Committee at the 8th AGM
The Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) successfully held it’s 8th Annual General Assembly (AGM) on Saturday at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel, Lubaga.
The meeting was in accordance to UBSA’s statutory requirement of holding the Annual General Meeting (AGM) prior to the FUFA General Assembly scheduled to take place next month.
Deo Mutabazi, the Association Chairman remarked that the journey has had both highs and lows but he is proud that the game has managed to soldier through the storm.
“If you look at how we started, there is definitely a reason to be proud. There were challenges at the beginning but the success attained over the ten years is a basis for us to be proud,” Mutabazi noted.

“From unrecognised tournaments, we set up competitive leagues for both men and women, set up a national team and spread the game not only in Uganda but even with our neighbours in the region,” he added.
FUFA Deputy CEO, Decolas Kiiza who also lauded Beach Soccer for their steady progress and with the support of FUFA.
FUFA EXCO member Hamid Juma who represented President Eng. Moses Magogo as the guest of honour lauded UBSA for their efforts in promoting the game and pledged FUFA’s willingness towards improving the game both on and off the pitch.
The assembly announced a budget of UGX 871, 800, 000 for the year 2020/2021.
FUFA will hold its Ordinary AGM on 17th October at Silver Springs Hotel in Kampala.
