King Saha’s concert which was slated for tomorrow (Friday 24th January) has been cancelled due to what Uganda Police described as “potential structural failure” at the venue.King Saha, real name Mansur Ssemanda has been advertising his concert since last year, calling upon his fans to flock to Lugogo Cricket Oval to witness and celebrate his craft. The venue that was booked months prior, however, seems not up to the standards that Uganda Police deems safe for the revellers.A statement by the Police Spokesperson Mr. Kituuma Rusoke indicates that the show is “halted after recommendations from joint security and the national security technical team which reportedly observed signs of potential structural failure on the facility, likely to endanger public safety.”As Uganda Police Force we have halted the event until there are rectifications on the facility so as to protect the revellers.
Kituuma RusokeKing Saha, however, maintains that the show will happen. Via his different social media pages, he has urged his fans to even arrive early enough at the venue tomorrow as the gates will be opened at 9:00AM.
