Four time presidential candidate and former opposition leader, Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye has joined the queue of Ugandans condemning the arrest of NUP president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine.

The political doyen took to Facebook to rally Ugandans to rise and call for an end to regime brutality. Dr. Besigye who in August stepped out of elective politics to lay grounds on other measures of regime change says Ugandans must only utilise this chance to demand and reclaim their country. Besigye posted a photo of himself carrying placards inscribed with wordings demanding for the freedom of Hon. Kyagulanyi and the FDC party candidate Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi who were arrested brutally on Wednesday.

Apparently, the deployment is intense all over all major streets in Kampala. UPDF, police and LDU have erected barricades and roadblocks to all ways leading to the central business district of Kampala. In other divisions like Makindye, protests have already soared. Bwaise, Busega and other suburbs close to Kampala are all under fire with protesters engaging police.
