While speaking to the mourners in Villa Maria, Masaka, an emotionally aggrieved Bobi Wine spoke of the deceased as a spirited youth who cherished his country. “Frank was passionate and true to the struggle. He braved all the tough times we have been through since the campaigns kicked off,” Bobi said. “As we left Hon. Mpuuga’s residence, Frank asked to take a Boda and meet up with his mother at home. Little did we know that these heartless people in uniform would later on finish his life,” he added.
Bobi has yet again in a Facebook post eulogised his aide in a brief note that has left most of his supporters and opposition activists lambasting the armed forces for meting out terror on peaceful citizens.
“My brother Frank,
A safe journey to you. You have fought a good fight. You were brutally murdered while on duty, and it is my prayer that your blood was never shed in vain. We are pained by your death in the prime of your life. At 25 years of age, you could easily have chosen any other path, but you chose the path of the struggle for freedom. You were a real revolutionary in life, and today you tower above as a true Ugandan hero. The struggle shall be won. Uganda will be free.
Rest in power!”
