Numerous reports indicate that a heavily armed security force has sealed off the residence of the former National Unity Platform party president, Kibalama Nkonge.

According to multiple sources, the raid has been led by the Internal Security Organization (ISO), Uganda Police Force and the UPDF. The motive of their operation remains unclear as no official statement in that regard has been issued.
Ever since Nkonge Kibalama changed the leadership of the NUP to the presidential hopeful, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine about two months back, he has on various occasions stated that his life has been under threats ranging from receiving phone calls from anonymous people and being trailed by plain clothed state goons.
